One of the most common questions people (especially reverends) of any faith are asked by others who are so-called ‘religion-shopping’ is the question, “Why should I believe what you have to say?” With religions such as the Judeo-Christian-Islamic ones the answer nine times out of ten is, “So you don’t burn for all of eternity!” and the other one out of ten is either “God/Allah/Whatever is good!” or just simply rambling on aimlessly and beating around the bush with the question, never truly giving any form of a solid explanation. With Theistic Satanism; really any kind of Satanism except cultic ‘Devil-Worshiping’ groups (which I wouldn’t even depict as truly Satanic seeing as their typical belief system aligns with extremely few true Satanic principles, if any at all), the answer is significantly more straightforward. You may notice in this article many principles as listed in my articles, Spiritual Satanism: Practice and Beliefs and Principles of Satanism, but in a different light.
To begin, instead of worshiping an invisible god in the sky, we honor Satan as our mentor and worship ourselves instead. Satan is a god and has evolved himself to that point. He would much rather us worship and evolve ourselves than to sit around on our knees and depend on his assistance for all of eternity – no. He would rather us become dependent on ourselves along and eventually, as a species, surpass him in evolution and consciousness, just as any father wants for his children to surpass him and get to a higher level than he ever will. Of course, him and the other gods of Hell are there to help us until we get to this point, thus, this is where the concept of him being a mentor comes into play and why we honor him (this is where the phrase, “Hail Satan!” comes from).
Secondly, Satan encourages us to express and deepen our individuality, instead of thinking, doing, and acting the way he wants us to act (for example, go to church, pray, read a ‘holy book,’ monitor our thoughts out of fear of judgment and eternal damnation, etc.). Each person is different and thus a one-size-fits-all belief system and practice is highly flawed. This is why Satan individualizes the dedicated’s path and works with us for it to meet our personal needs and desires. This is why different gods of Hell have different specialties as well.
Next, unlike other religions, there is scientific as well as historical evidence for the accuracy of Satanism – you just have to know how to look. For example, our DNA (Ancient Humans Had Sex With Mystery Species, New DNA Study Shows), the remains of the Annunaki, and the strange dimensions and alignments of the pyramids of Giza (Giza Pyramid Facts). On top of this, unlike religions such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, where one might feel as if every time he/she takes a step closer to ‘God,’ it (for lack of a better term) takes a step back, when the initiate takes one small step towards Satan, he takes two or three leaps towards them. In fact, most, if not all of individuals who dedicate their soul to Satan and are accepted have felt his intense, compassionate, powerful presence, and some of us have even seen him with our own two eyes, as well as the individuals who are with or near us. I bet you’ve never met a non-schizophrenic Christian who saw Jesus Christ when they ‘accepted him into their heart.’
Finally, Satanists who are formally dedicated and have been accepted into the family will stop at nothing to help one another. Not once have I been let down by a fellow Satanist, and I would rather die than let them down. It’s plain and simple. I have never been judged, disrespected, or mistreated by another Satanist, and I have never done these things to them myself. It doesn’t even cross my mind to screw them over or do them wrong in any way, shape, form, or fashion.
